Orthodox Leadership Training
OCCM LEAD is an Orthodox Christian leadership training for student leaders. OCCM LEAD is focused to train OCCM student leaders and OCCM members interested to learn what it means to be an Orthodox leader and run for leadership positions in OCCM, the Church, and the professional world.
OCCM LEAD is required training for the Student Leadership Team (Executive Board, Regional Directors, Committee Chairpersons, and Chapter Officers). Our goal is that all newly elected OCCM student leaders, prospective leaders, and those interested in leadership development be trained through the OCCM LEAD program as we continue to better equip and lead our OCCM organization.
There are two OCCM LEAD regional conferences, that are held annually, to accommodate the geographic distribution of the Diocese. Attendees are not confined to their region for attendance, in case one date works better than the other for an individual.
OCCM LEAD - EAST
The East region's OCCM LEAD conference is held for chapters in Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. The student leaders gather at St. Mary & St. Demiana Convent in Dawsonville, GA, for four days filled with enriching spiritual atmosphere, series of workshops and talks, and lots of fellowship.
OCCM LEAD - WEST
The West region's OCCM LEAD conference is held for the Texas chapters. The student leaders gather in Dallas, TX, hosted at the auxiliary services building of St. Philopateer Coptic Orthodox Church. Student leaders convene from all over Texas for four days of fellowship, prayer, and a series of workshops and talks.
